Reading I: Acts 5:12-16. The number of women and men who came to believe increased steadily.

Reading II: Revelation 1:9a-11, 12-13 and 17-19. I was dead but now will live forever.

Gospel: John 20:19-31. After eight days Jesus stood in their midst.

Question of the Week: We are called to believe in the forgiveness, generosity, and hospitality of Christ even though we have not seen the Risen Christ with our eyes. How do YOU live this belief?

April 04, 2010 April 4, 2010. Easter Sunday. We are a resurrection people!

Reading I: Acts 10:34a and 37-43. They were witnesses to all that Jesus said and did.

Reading II: Colossians 3:1-4. Seek to be like Christ.

Gospel: John 20:1-9. Jesus is raised from the dead!

Question of the Week: When we die with Christ, we also experience rising with him. 1. When and how has dying in love for someone else resulted in you being happier? 2. What goodness has come from dying to others?

March 28, 2010 March 28, 2010. Palm Sunday. Jesus shows us how much love he has in his heart.

Reading I: Isaiah 50:4-7. God helps us.

Reading II: Philippians 2:6-11. The name of God is holy.

Gospel: Luke 22:14-23:56. Jesus shows us how to love.

Question of the Week: 1. Jesus gave up his life, but he never gave up his love. In your own words, what does the suffering and death of Christ mean to you. 2. How are you called to die to yourself in loving others?

March 21, 2010 March 21, 2010. 5th Sunday of Lent. Jesus offers us true freedom through love and forgiveness.

Reading I: Isaiah 43:16-21. God makes a new way for us.

Reading II: Philippians 3:8-14. Freedom is knowing Christ and following him.

Gospel: John 8:1-11. Let the one who is without sin throw the first stone.

Question of the Week: 1. Who do you think is too sinful to be part of your life or parish? 2. Against whom do you hold prejudices? Whom do you find it hard to forgive?

March 14, 2010 March 14, 2010. 4th Sunday of Lent. God is calling us to come home to the divine heart.

Reading I: Joshua 5:9a and 10-12. The people ate the produce of the land.

Reading II: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. We are reconciled with God through Christ.

Gospel: Luke 15:1-3 and 11-32. The son who was lost has returned home to his father.

Question of the Week: 1. How have you or your household welcomed back someone who was estranged, distant, or absent from you? 2. In your personal life, whom do you most need to welcome back into your circle of friends?

March 07, 2010 March 7, 2010. 3rd Sunday of Lent. We are called to conversion of heart during Lent.

Reading I: Exodus 3:1-8a and 13-15. God tells us his name: I AM WHO AM.

Reading II: 1 Corinthians 10:1-6 and 10-12. What is written about Moses is meant to help us.

Gospel: Luke 13:1-9. Jesus calls us to repent.

Question of the Week: 1. Lent is time for us to do interior spring housecleaning. What areas of your life need it most? 2. Make a resolution for this week to forgive someone who has harmed you. Share that.
