Question of the Week
Into the Fields faith sharing
To nourish their own spirituality and calling, group facilitators may use the Question of the Week to break open the Word from the Sunday liturgy and apply it to their own life and ministry. And before each Into the Fields session, invite the learners to also break open the Word. The Question of the Week is a simple reflection question based on the Sunday gospel. It is meant to be used by everyone in the parish and school as a means to share and grow in faith.
Develop a “Question of the Week” drawn from the Sunday readings.
It should be a question that leads to “theological reflection” without being too theological itself; not a “yes” or “no” question, but one that draws the user deeper into the Gospel.
A question that asks for a personal response. It’s not a discussion about the faith but a sharing of one’s own faith and belief.
State the question in plain English.
Select the gospel from the previous Sunday, or part of that Gospel if it is long, or another reading from the Liturgy of the Word.
Prepare the Question before your Into the Fields session begins.

Use the Question in place of any other sort of “prayer service” for each gathering of your Into the Fields group.
Use the brief, one-page Faith Sharing Guide to provide a structure for this prayer.
