Will You Guide Me?
Jesus, I call you by name
and know that you hear me.
I am preparing myself to work as a teacher
just as you were also a teacher
during your lifetime among us.
Search me and help me open myself to your Spirit.
Make my commitment deep and pure,
and allow me to be your servant.
Open my heart to you in prayer daily
and teach me to trust
the direction and pathway you set for me.
Create in me a more pure motive,
so that I may be strong of heart
and deep in my commitment.
